Cool Sundial Sculpture (One Day Poem Pavillion)
This is a cool sculpture called the One Day Poem Pavillion. By using a complex array of perforations, it allows light to shine through in the form of different lines from a poem.
The sculpture is located at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. It was designed by Jiyeon Song. Here are the words to the poem, which change throughout the day and even the year:
LISTEN PEOPLE WHERE EVER YOU ARE
WILL YOUR WHITE HAIR TURN BLACK AGAIN?
WILL YOUR YOUTH LAST FOR-EVER?
LIFE SPEEDS BY LIKE A DREAM
WHY NOT FILL EACH MINUTE WITH JOY?
The lines of the poem can be viewed from 8 AM - 4 PM, with each line appearing for about an hour.

See time-lapse photography of the sculpture.
